My Life, My Story, My Journey & a Tall Tale Book 2 & 3 by RBK is a fascinating memoir. A candid unfolding of one man’s journey as he seeks to deprogram himself from society in search of his true self. Captivating and charming, his pilgrimage was a pure pleasure to read.
I don’t think I’ve ever put down a book and felt so relaxed and yet energized at the same time! I found KR’s journey spellbinding and found it hard to put the book down. The author has such a gentle, smooth manner to his writing it literally lulled me into peacefulness. I have no idea if that was the author’s intention, but it was certainly how I felt. I am envious of his ability to walk through areas of great natural beauty, to sit and commune with nature and to draw peace and understanding into himself – who wouldn’t want that? The book slowly unravels his life’s choices as he opts out of the rat race in pursuit of a higher meaning. He becomes aware that his soul is thousands of years old, and that in previous incarnations he was both a Celtic druid and a Shaman. His odyssey is melodic and harmonious, although sometimes it left him feeling isolated. His love of motorbikes pours through every chapter, as does his high regard for his friends. Throughout everything, his dream/belief is that Theresa is his twin flame, and that she will eventually realize it and come to him. Unrequited love can be painful, but RBK’s heart soars with hope and overflows with love. His story is romantic and poetical, it is also educational if you have ever wondered what steps you might take to step out of the ‘norm’ and venture into a different way of life, then this is the book for you.
RBK has written an autobiography in third person so it feels more like an incredible story than a memoir. The writing flows and is easy-to-read, the pace is leisurely and the content fascinating. I really look forward to the next installment! My Life, MY Story, My Journey & a Tall Tale book 2 & 3 by RBK is an enchanting memoir that comes highly recommended by Artisan Book Reviews.
