Under Your Skin by Rose McClelland is a well-written, intriguing story that fascinated me from the very first chapter. It is a unique story, cleverly narrated with six interesting characters that we come to know, understand and like. Full of twists, turns and unexpected revelations, I could not put this book down!!

From the very first sentence readers will be hooked as a 911 call comes in from Kyle who frantically states that his wife, Hannah didn’t come home from work.
In the beginning Kyle appears to be a loving concerned husband, yet clues begin to pop up and reveal his actual true feelings about his missing wife. The story soon moves into a dark twisted psychological thriller where nothing is as it seems. Kyle is charismatic and has the ability to lure people in with his charming mannerisms. But, does Kyle have a twisted dark side? As Julia, a local resident who joins in on the search for Hannah, gets closer to Kyle, she begins to uncover some surprising revelations. Now she is caught up in web of enigmas and danger that she never anticipated

In the meantime Hannah is being held somewhere in a dark dusty basement. She can peer out the window only to see the high-end expensive shoes of people walking around outside. All she wants are some anxiety pills and books to help her escape from reality.

.This is one story that I can truly say that the author did a remarkable job of weaving the narration of the six main characters together to bring the storyline altogether, as each one played a significant part in the overall plot. They are all fully developed and interesting with well-crafted backstories. I don’t want to give this impressive story away, but I can say that it turns into a dark, gripping, riveting and compelling display of domestic abuse and betrayal. It is disturbing, emotional, very real and plausible. I connected well with Hannah and became very emotional as her story was revealed. I was stunned and bewildered by Hannah’s husband, Kyle with his dual personality-like tendency.

Rose McClelland’s extraordinary expressive writing style, creative and clever storytelling ability astonishes me. I loved everything about Under Your Skin by Rose McClelland.
